Amanda Cain values Green Values:

This will be done by fighting for:
  • Rapid transit funding into Scarborough,
  • Development of affordable rental & co-op housing in Toronto,
  • Infrastructure investment for climate change,
  • Quality jobs in Scarborough to fight climate change,
  • Supporting the development of Green Industry Business; and
  • Local training opportunities for careers in growing labour markets.
 
If elected, Amanda would bring to Scarborough Southwest:
  • Additional EV chargers and sustainable infrastructure,
  • Funding for waste water treatment and protection from invasive water species to protect the beautiful waters of Lake Ontario,
  • Expanding work opportunities to protect and expand biodiversity in Scarborough,
  • Opportunities for knowledge exchange in keeping with the Truth and Reconciliation report; and
  • Advocacy for international work exchange opportunities in high-risk climate change zones such as Bangladesh, The Philippines, Guyana and Pakistan.
